Gary Lewin to become Arsenal Women FC's Head of Sports Medicine and Sports Science
6 Jul 2021
Director and co-founder of The Lewin Sports Injury Clinic Gary Lewin is to assume a new position with Arsenal Women FC ahead of the upcoming 2021/22 season.
Having worked with the team as a consultant physiotherapist for a number of years, Gary will be its Head of Sports Medicine and Sports Science.
This new role, based at the club's London Colney training centre, is part of a number of additional backroom roles being introduced to further support the club ahead of the new campaign.
Gary will still have a presence in-clinic, ensuring he is able to support patients on their rehab pathways from assessment to returning to the sport they love.
Of the news, Gary said: "I've worked with the Arsenal Women's team for a number of years now, and they are a brilliantly talented group to work with. This new role gives me the opportunity to support the squad further and I'm really excited. That said, I'm incredibly proud of the clinic and how it's helping not only seasoned sports people but also everyday athletes and will continue to be here throughout the week to ensure I can help support our patients and the clinic's growth as we approach our third year of business."
