Laura graduated in 2003 with a BSc in Physiology and Pharmacology from Manchester, going on to work for a year in the pharmaceutical world before deciding to pursue a career in Physiotherapy, graduating in 2007 from the University of East London.
After graduating, Laura spent 5 years in the NHS rotating across all areas and building up vast experience.
Whilst working in the NHS Laura spent the majority of time in Orthopaedics working with pre and post-surgical patients, trauma patients and general sports injury rehab. She then specialised in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy and joined private practice in 2012 where she has worked since treating a wide range of all issues.
Laura went on to add to her skills by studying acupuncture and trigger point needling for Musculoskeletal pain and headaches, Sports massage therapy and Myofascial release. She is also trained in shock wave therapy and currently Laura is furthering her studies to become APPI trained in Pilates matwork teaching as well.
Laura loves to treat all aspects of the body and all sports injuries but particularly enjoys treating and rehabbing knee and shoulder pain/ injuries and treating neck and upper back pain. She also enjoys rehab pre and post orthopaedic surgery, Laura is also very experienced in treating all types of spinal issues as well. Laura works with a large multidisciplinary approach and through her experience has developed a large network with some of top London's top orthopaedic consultants. .
She has vast experience in Physiotherapy and is very much hands on in her sessions, looking at the body as a whole and also is experienced with providing appropriate and tailored exercise programmes to go with the sessions to aid rehab and help quicker recovery. She will work closely with you to achieve your goals.
In her spare time, Laura loves to keep active by running and cycling. She loves racing and actively participates in half marathon and marathon races and is working on her duathlon racing next.
